2016 Recommendations for Beauty Hair and Aesthetic Industry.
Here in the UK it’s still possible to open a beauty/hair salon or cosmetic clinic without any qualifications at all. The good news is that, with new laws coming in, some of the cowboys operating around the country – even in Harley Street – should at last be brought into line.
While some spend years training to get their qualifications, others simply take a one-week course and think they know it all. Clutching their worthless qualifications, the next day they can be found holding a needle to a client’s face as a so-called skin-care specialist or wielding a pair of scissors over someone’s precious hair.
I often have to deal with the wreckage created by these so-called experts, many of whom are little more than salespeople with needles or scissors.
And it’s not just the damage an unqualified hairdresser or beauty ‘expert’ does to your hair or body; it can also be quite devastating emotionally.
Do please check with me before seeing someone you are not sure about; it will take just one phone call or email and could save so much heartache. I know so many people in the industry and, believe me, I wouldn’t trust some of them to wash my hair, let alone cut it, although that doesn’t mean they aren’t perfectly pleasant to have a drink with.
To make life easier, here is my list of recommendations for cosmetic, hair and beauty treatments. I hope it will be a useful guide – but do still make sure you check their qualifications.
Finally, one useful tip is to avoid anywhere that says clients will meet a fully qualified nurse or surgery consultant first – they tend to be salespeople whose main aim is to persuade you into more expensive treatments in my personal opinion.
Some clinics will charge a consultancy fee, which will usually be worth paying.

Doctor Duna Alrudayni Acupuncture Face Lift

This treatment is huge in the US, with people like Kim Kardashain and Demi Moore taking to the relaxing and youth-giving ancient treatment. So how is Doctor Duna's approach to facial acupuncture different from others who offer the Acupuncture Face Lift? Doctor Duna has developed a unique approach to cosmetic acupuncture, combining the usual facial acupuncture, which is based on inserting needles on the acupoints and on the lines and wrinkles on the face, with Mei Zen acupuncture. This technique is done by inserting three needles on the acupuints on the face and on the lines and wrinkles, and the third technique is by inserting long needles to tune the facial muscle, rather like the threading needling. She found by combining the three techniques results can be achieved faster and last longer. The results have to be seen to be believed.
Best hair colourist
Lesley Jennsion
http://realhair.co.uk/main/realhair-services/price-list/colour
I've come across some very good colourists but few as accomplished, skilled or professional as Lesley Jennison, whom I've been fortunate enough to have tend my own blond locks for the last 10 years.
With 32 years experience in the business, she started out at Sassoon's and managed the shop in Covent Garden for a number of years before moving to be senior colourist at Harrods. She is now the world educator for Schwarzkopf and also sees clients at the fashionable salon Real Hair in Chelsea.
The first thing you will notice is that Lesley is interested in you, and what sort of look you want to achieve. With her, there's no such thing as a stupid question and she makes her clients feel totally at ease as she explains every step of the procedure.
When she applies the colour, it's like watching an artist at work. Lesley does not cut or dry hair but you can have that done at the Real Blow bar or in the salon itself. And they are more than happy to give you a hairdryer so you can dry your beautifully coloured hair yourself.
