Six Questions with Aesthetic star Tetiana Teslya

Steven chat to one of londons leading aesthetic therapist Tetiana Teslya as she joins the team at TOP LIPS at their exclusive Wimpole Street clinic.
1. What is the most important aesthetic treatment for you? Several aesthetic treatments are important to me. It is rather difficult to single out just one because we must always approach patient care in an integrated way. I would single out at least three main treatments. These are botulinum therapy, replenishment of lost or missing volumes with dermal fillers or Radiesse, and work with the skin quality with the help of biorevitalizants (skin boosters), plasma therapy (PRP), or mesotherapy.
2. How did you train in aesthetics? I consider my path in aesthetic medicine quite interesting and intensive. After seven years of practice in maxillofacial surgery and surgical dentistry, I decided to practice aesthetic medicine and have been successfully combining these two areas for more than five years. I studied a lot in Ukraine, Holland, France, and the UK. Also, I attended many individual hands-on courses, conferences, and seminars, as well as cadaver courses.
3. What would you do for hair loss in women and men? I provide hair treatment with PRP (plasma) therapy and mesotherapy. These treatments strengthen the hair structure, stop hair loss and stimulate their growth. The course of treatment can be from 6 to 10 sessions: 1 treatment with an interval of 2-3 weeks. I want to note that the causes of hair loss can be different. Therefore, I always recommend being examined by a trichologist and other related specialists.
4. How often should you have botox? According to the protocol, we can carry out botulinum toxin treatment 2-3 times a year, depending on the area in which we work. After the disappearance of the effect, I recommend taking a break of 1.5-2 months and then repeating t he toxin treatment. This is necessary so that the body doesn't become addicted to the drug and each subsequent treatment gives the same lasting effect as the previous one.
5. How can you say away from that overdone look? I'm a supporter of the most natural results. I'm confident that aesthetic treatment can improve facial features and harmonize them without overdoing them.
6. What do you do for fun? I am a supporter of a healthy lifestyle. I love fitness and active sports. Also, I love to travel and spend time spent with my loved ones.

Thriller Novelist Samatha Lee Howe supports abuse charity IDAS

Thriller Novelist Samantha Lee Howe supports Yorkshire-based domestic abuse charity IDAS

Bestselling author and screenwriter Samantha Lee Howe is delighted to announce that she is now a survivor ambassador for the Yorkshire based charity IDAS.

Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) is the leading specialist domestic abuse service in Yorkshire, supporting over 20,000 people affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence in Yorkshire each year. Their services include refuge accommodation, community-based support, peer mentoring, group work and access to a free, confidential out of hours’ helpline. Their teams of accredited specialist workers support people through the criminal justice system in addition to providing emotional support and safety planning advice.

This is a cause which speaks deeply to Samantha: ‘As a victim of domestic abuse as a child and in my previous marriage, I understand what the impact of this can be. In lending my voice and support to IDAS, I hope to inspire others to come forward and seek help. Many women and men are too embarrassed to even admit they are being abused, and I hope that my own story will help them find the strength to reach out for help.

‘Only recently did I find my own strength and voice and shared my story with The Daily Express. Many perpetrators of abuse almost brainwash their victims into thinking it is all their fault, and I’m here to tell them, it really isn’t!

‘It was an easy decision to become involved with IDAS as it’s close to me both geographically and emotionally. By speaking for and supporting the charity, I felt I could make a difference and aid them in the ongoing battle against abuse and violence.’

Anna Kennedy sleep secret Made By Coopers .

Anna Kennedy OBE shares  her  sleep secret .

A word from Anna Kennedy

'Many parents of children with a disability usually have a very poor sleep pattern. My sleep pattern is erratic and I have difficulty switching off at night.

I received this lovely surprise of a bottle of 'Sleepy Head Room Pillow Spray' when I shared across my social media once again, I had a bad night sleep.

I have always loved Lavender and purple has always been my favourite colour.

The colour purple and Lavender has such a calming effect. The aroma of the Made by Coopers spray is not too overpowering and it is just simply gorgeous. '

How the product began

From India To Sussex

Created by Clare and Darren Cooper, the brand began as an idea whilst travelling around India on a three-month yoga expedition. India was part of a personal healing journey for Clare. After years suffering anxiety disorders throughout most of her late twenties, yoga and meditation finally gave Clare some solace.

Meditating with frankincense and regularly practicing yoga in London was just the start. She knew she wanted to delve deeper into this healing work, and was drawn to India where their story began.During their travels, Clare and Darren spent time at an Ayurvedic retreat in Kerala, learning all about the power of plants and natural healing, as well as lots of yoga, meditation, and early five a.m. chanting ceremonies!

It was at this retreat, they got to see first hand the plants and herbs transformed into oils used for treatments. It was a life changing experience, understanding how the aromas from the oils made them feel and affected their wellbeing in a positive way.

Following this powerful experience in the Ayurvedic retreat, the idea was formed to start a range of natural products, infused with essential oils, with a focus on emotional wellbeing.
